Threat Intelligence

Threat Intelligence, part of Security Operations

We employ tradecraft that allow us to gather information about threats facing your organization. This knowledge is then used to build out use cases.  These use cases allow us to tailor your defensive posture and stay prepared in an ever-changing threat landscape.

What is Threat Intelligence?

Threat Intelligence is information about potential threats to your organization’s infrastructure. This includes the use of open-source, social media or technical intelligence.

There are three types of Threat Intelligence:

1.     Tactical:

This type of intelligence is used to mitigate or stop threats to the enterprise directly. Information gathered is used to help create rules, signatures and use cases to defend against attacks.

2.     Operational:

Intelligence used operationally is done so while an attack is occurring. We study the attacker’s modus operandi to learn their specific methods.

3.     Strategic:

We use intelligence gathered to help setup and define defensive strategies for the long term. Your organization needs to be prepared for the threats of today and tomorrow.

Why is Threat Intelligence important to you?

Threat Intelligence enables improved detection of threats so you can predict a threat rather than just react. It also improves the decision-making process while defending against an attack.
